The trucking industry is constantly changing. Let MTA keep you up to date on important news and events that affect you the most. Whether it is new legislation from the capital, upcoming seminars and trainings or a reminder of what is due and when, we will keep you informed in our weekly emails as well as our monthly magazine, Keep on Truckin’ News.  There are also plenty of opportunities to meet face-to-face with MTA staff and other MTA members. We have advisory boards that meet throughout the year that is open to all MTA members, our annual convention in Peoria offers educational sessions and meetings and we have trainings and seminars scheduled throughout the year.

  • HAZMAT Driver Certification Training

    MTA provides training material for Hazardous Material certification for companies and drivers. We have available Pre-Employment Screening for possible new hires. We keep in stock most of the supplies needed to meet DOT requirements. Our magazine has monthly articles with updated information on new and current regulations needed by office personnel and drivers. (Lower 48 states)

  • Regional Advisory Boards

    Our advisory boards are comprised of truckers from all segments of the industry and regions of Illinois, to assist and advise our office on the operations and programs of the Association. Boards represent Southern, Central, Northern Illinois, Western Illinois, and the Chicago area. These meetings are also a great information networking event for anyone in the trucking industry and the most efficient and effective way we can continue to provide valuable and pertinent services and programs for the trucking industry.

  • In-Person Training Programs

    Meetings and seminars are held to inform members of industry problems and solutions. It is a great opportunity to bring questions and hear answers to your problems. Check out our upcoming events.

  • Industry Specific Webinars

    With constant changes happening in the trucking industry, we routinely schedule webinars with industry experts to breakdown topics that are affecting MTA members. These webinars are free to all MTA member companies. A computer or personal device with internet connection is required. View Past Webinars.

  • Weekly Industry Specific Communications

    The Monday Briefing weekly email is where are members get their news and legislative updates, upcoming due dates and events, along with the Diesel Price Index. We will occasionally send seperate alert emails during the week if any member action is needed on an issue or to inform them on an upcoming event. 

  • Keep on Truckin' News Monthy Magazine

    Our monthly magazine is of interest to all truck operators, but is available free only to MTA members.  Features include articles and information on the trucking industry, government agencies, and new laws and regulations. Free ‘FOR SALE’ ads can be taken out by members.

  • Driver Safety Meeting Presentations

    As an MTA member company, you can work with MTA staff to schedule a time to give an onsite presentation for your driver safety meeting.
